Ok here it goes my red 03 caravan cranks but wont start thought it was crank position sensor I have no fuel or spark changed that nightmere over 9 hours to replace still won't start changed cam sensor still no start changed grounds at this point many hours later tired thought ok must be computer so I grabbed the computer out of my other 03 caravan that runs great still no start go to put the computer back in my other van and now it will not start the gold van is a 03 grand caravan sport with security the red van is a caravan without security. I am thinking I may have fried the computer or it may need to be reset somehow I have 2 dead vans now and need some advice. The gold van is showing a check engine light flashing and the oil light is on but there is plenty of oil in it and it ran fine earlier today. I tried disconnecting negative battery cable and letting it sit and reconnecting cable still no luck

 

update the grand caravan is flashing the cel 10 times I think it is just checking computer for codes but if key is left in acc the oil light stays on after check all other lights go out

 

did the key 3 times thing codes are as follows 1684, 0123, 0118, 1598, 1193

 

well computer was fried. I am just posting this to save someone else trouble, if your vehicle cranks but does not start just get someone with a good scope/scanner to check it before changing parts. I am pretty sure the injector wires are shorted out and that is what fried both computers. I have also learned that if you have a computer that has skim enabled (chip key) you cannot use that computer in a van without skim because it will enable skim in the body control module and get confused.
