Default Automatic head lights

I just bought a 2016 grand caravan and I realized that there are no automatic headlights. I'm assuming that I'd have to pay extra for that "option"? I've never had a vehicle that didn't have that. Does anyone know a way that I could alter the switch to make it have an auto option? Thanks for your help!

You would need a new switch and a sensor then have the dealer activate the feature. Check with your dealer. They might be willing to work with you. Best to always verify the vehicle you are purchasing has all the options you want before putting any money down on it.

Ya, I've just sent an email. I really didn't think that having my tail lights come on automatically was considered an extra feature in a modern vehicle. That's not something I would expect, since it's a safety issue. The only people who don't want taillights/headlights that come on automatically are criminals lol.

Same thing happened to me. I assumed all modern vehicles would have automatic headlights. 2017 DGC SXT. WTF

My 2009 300 and 2010 1500 have automatic headlights.

Sorry about resurrecting an old thread.

It's all about keeping costs down. You have to select (and pay for) the right package that would include auto headlights.

So upside you can do all of this yourself with a taser, down side is cost of the taser, but you can install any options available from the factory and activate them using the taser. Even r/t , srt, screen setups.

Or install a photocell using it for a relay and leave the lights on
