Cool Newbie Here> Grand Caravan 2008 SE> Malfunction Indicator Lamp & ETC

Good day guys! Im new here. hope you can help me with my inquiries.

I drive a Grand Caravan 2008 SE. To be honest this is our first vehicle and I don't have lots of knowledge about cars.

I have an issue regarding the Malfunction Indicator Lamp and Electronic Throttle Control. There are some instances that while I'm driving, those two suddenly appear at the same time, and when it happens the Temp Gauge needle goes to the lowest point like it is turned off, but I can still drive it. I've read the manual and it says there that if the ETC comes on just restart the engine, and I did that, ETC disappear but the MIL is still on. The MIL just disappear on random occasions when I start the engine.

Are there anyone here have the same problem? Can anyone give me some advise about this?

Thanks in advance!!

Get the codes read. That's telling you what's wrong.

Take it to any auto parts store. They will do it for free.

quick question, when starting the engine, the radiator fan should spin or not? mine is not spinning. maybe the fan is the cause of this problem.

Electric fans come on based on engine temperature. It is not spun by the engine.

Turn on your A/C. The fan should spin within seconds.
