2003 Caravan Power Window Stuck
The Driver's side power window is down 2" from top and stuck there. I understand a "regulator" might be needed. Is this a tough repair? And what IS a regulator? Is it a mechanical or an electrical part? Sorry I'm so naive about this. I've rebuilt engines but never a power window.
Thanks for any help. -Mark

Update: Fixed it for 59 cents.
I bought the switch module from the dealer for 65 bucks. Didn't help. Took the interior door panel off and inspected the mechanism. It's basically 2 vertical channels at front and back of window with an "X" shaped continuous loop cable wrapped once or twice around a drive gear driven by a worm gear. The 2 bottom corners of the window are attached to this loop cable and ride the channels up and down. The guides were binding. I lubed the channels and cable with a tube of Chapstick (works great as a glide lube). The window works beautifully!
