Default Engine Loud on Acceleration, Quiet at idle speed

2010 Dodge Grand Caravan 4.0
120,000 miles.

A little history.
2 weeks ago had wire harness, fuel injection lines and few other things replaced because we had a stupid squirrel/mouse living in the engine.

A few days later engine light came on for catalytic converter bank 2. But the van was running great. Really, no problems. Step on the gas and it would take off.

So I have them replace the catalytic converter and now the nightmare begins.
1. Step on the gas and it sounds like an airplane taking off. It sounds like
this until the RPMS drop back down. Once the RPMS drop the engine is quite no matter what speed 30, 40 ,70. Its getting to the driving speed that is incredibly loud.

2. Now the engine is "diesling", take the key out of the ignition, walk away from the van and the thing is still clinking, clunking, ticking, stuttering etc..

So take it back and drop it off on Monday 12/26/2016 response is nothing wrong, "my aunt has this same van, and it sounds just like". We don't hear any noises. So my wife drives for the next 2 days, records all the sounds on her phone. Dropped it off this morning and now they say the heat shield on the old converter must have rusted off and the new one has the shield and is making car louder.

and they say its diesling because of an issue with the ignition switch.

Does any of this sound legit to you?

Thanks
Bob
