I need to remove the roof rack to have car painted. How is best way without damaging anything?

Generally speaking, at each end there is a plastic cap that pops off to access the bolts holding it to the roof underneath. You will just have to look at it and see the best way to pop those caps off.

Got it done by removing the torx screws.
