Van started downshifting harshly today at 1000rpm van would shift down and rpms would go up 300rpm while braking or letting off throttle fluid good van has low mileage was told to try disconnecting battery and waiting 15 min and reconnecting, no luck van runs fine in 3 but not in drive. I also noticed fast flash on drivers signal so I thought I would see what was going on, I thought bulb must be bad checked all bulbs front was not working but bulb was good all other bulbs were working brake lights etc.. sprayed contact cleaner on all the sockets front and rear started working but still flashing quickly so I try right signal, turn on left and I now hear fast clicking coming from behind the instrument cluster but only when the left turn signal is on. If I let it continue for more than 4 seconds check engine will flash. Checked codes only code is the battery code from when I disconnected the battery earlier in the day.
