Easiest GPS antenna position?

I'm installing an aftermarket NAV Pioneer AVIC 8100NEX and was curious what the easiest and best place to locate the GPS antenna is. Has anyone installed one successfully and where did u put it?

Found a perfect spot behind and above the stereo, There was a gap under where the bulge in the top of the dashboard is. Was the perfect fit for my GPS and XM radio antenna.
