[3rd Gen : 96-00]: Assembly after replacing water pump
Just changed the water pump on ' 97 Dodge Caravan 3.0. I thought I could remember where and in what order every thing goes back, but that isn't the case. I had a Haynes manual in my hand while getting the parts for the change but decided not to buy it.
Anyway... I have installed the water pump, changed the O rings in the inlet tube. Have put the intake back on... Have the timing belt and cover back in place. Put the big black bracket thing in front of the timing cover back and for the life of me I can't remember what bolts go where, not can I recall what to assemble after that big bracket. A ton of things was going on when I took it apart and my old mind isn't what it used to be.
Does anyone have any pics and info on how it goes back together from the above stated? I have the motor support bracket left to install... the power steering pump, AC compressor, 2 pulleys, and the small belt tensioner left to install on the water pump side of the engine. I knew I was getting agitated so I made notes on how the throttle body side of the engine goes back...
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Should have gotten that manual!! It would have told me what length bolt goes where.... Live and learn I guess, but I am a long way from being a mechanic...
Thanks!
