Default Power Dies When Air is On

Hi All -

So this started as a usual power fail, when the air was on, slowly sucking every bit of it (power light came on, etc.). Charged the battery, cleaned the contacts, started the engine, and revving it I git voltage readings of about 13.5v. That tells me the alternator is doing its job.
But again the power gets sucked out (while the engine is on if the air is running).
Is this a sign of a bad battery?

thanks a lot!

Sure reads like a dirty body ground. I would start with the grounds under the battery tray. There are some below on the front end pillars on each end of the radiator.

Thanks so much for the help! I peeked around the radiator but I didn't see any ground connections. Might need to take a better look.
cheers!

Have the battery load tested. Most parts stores do it for free. Has to be completely charged.

Thanks for the reply!

A little development. I got a new battery, cleaned the grounds, and when I rev the engine, I am getting readings beyond 15v. That's not normal right? Also I hear a whirring sound coming out of that alternator.
Time to replace it maybe?

thanks!
