1998 caravan odometer light will not go off unless i unhook the batt ,, but once the key is turned on the light again will not go out and this inturn drains the batt. any suggestions???

Could be either a bad cluster, or maybe the ignition switch is bad. Try unhooking the ignition switch connector.
