[4th Gen : 01-07]: 2003 Caravan Rear Brake Confusion
Dodge CaravanThe Dodge Caravan is the best selling mini van from Dodge. How many Dodge Caravan owners here at DodgeForum.com would agree? Discuss it now!
I bought a 2003 Caravan CV rust bucket (former Chicago postal van) and am replacing rusty/ worn rear brake parts. this is an ABS system van and where I THINK the rear ABS proportioning valve WAS, there are these "junction type" blocks (metering valves?) ..... the brakes seem to work fine and the van stops straight and sure...Can I simply replace these blocks (recently painted gray Rustoleum) with Dorman 905-930 pressure metering valves ? Below is a picture I took...any help would sure be appreciated....I'm thinking somebody didn't want to spend the big bucks on replacing the OEM ABS valve and jerry-rigged this setup...Again, thanks for any input.
