Default 2017 GC drivers wiper arm issue

Hey guy's
a really weird problem, I changed out all blades rear and passenger side. but driver side is perplexing.
so on the car at the moment is the frame type. and am replacing them for the MOPAR flex type single blade with no frame).
I just CANT get the crochet hook off the wiper arm to slip over the u channel, I had 2 spares also 1 new one from dodge,
the same thing on all 3.

The frame one fitted to the car goes on and off fine no issues
but the new ones are getting stuck and just will not go all the way down, to clip in, it shouldnt be that hard.
I tried opening the crochet arm, but it's rock solid I dont wanna force the arm in case something breaks

according to the MOPAR box the are 9x4

HELP

Drive up in the lane at the dealer and ask them to show you.

Na don't worry. They're trying to make things more universal now and cut costs. It's a Magnetti Marelli thing, so it probably wasn't done with much thought. I find myself staring at things like this from time to time thinking WTH MAN!

hey all,
so took it to dodge, got it sorted... but check this.
my mate the SA got one of his boys to look at it.

So he tried and instantly said "The wiper connection wont fit, its wrong" after I showed the package and receipt said
"take it back to stores, they'll swap it out"

Stores guy looks quizzical, "said all the mopar flex connectors are the same" so comes out to car and he tries. "oh it doesn't fit"
"looks like there's about a mm out which is why its sticking"

So discussion about how it should just clip in, its a mopar part and there all the same

SO along comes another tech, I know the guy, nice bloke, lot of experience, he LITERALLY manhandles the part it.
Doesn't break anything, just gets it in. LOLZ

So for the moment were good HAHAHA
