Default 2015 Grand Caravan engine noise

He just purchased a used Grand Caravan Crew with 68k on it. When you start it in the cold the engine has a weird noise, almost like a intermittent grinding noise. Does anyone have any ideas? We are still under warranty, but want to have some knowledge before going in. When we bought it we mentioned it to the dealer and they replied with "that is a common caravan noise" which I find hard to believe. I have a video to see.

Cheers.

hard to tell; do another video under the hood.
put your hand on the power steering pump reservoir and see if the noise changes. Its common for cold weather to make the pump growl. does turning the steering wheel when the noise is occurring make the noise change?

We certainly understand why this would be concerning, Mahoo. If you decide to have this officially diagnosed by your dealer, feel free to follow up with us. We'd be glad to provide an additional layer of assistance while you're in service.
