2005 Caravan starts but only after 3 tries, it,l click then click again and again then it will turn over, I had the new battery tested it is putting out 14.25 amps and that means the new alternator is charging the battery. Why is it not starting up
every time I turn the key.

 

SMH.....what year? What engine? How many miles? Last tune up? Checked for stored codes? Did this just start? When did it start? Can't read your mind, so the more information you can provide can only be beneficial to anyone wanting to offer assistance.

 

2005 caravan as mentioned, 3.3 litre, 165000 Kilometers just tuned up last week, I,m not a mechanic so I don,t know about codes and I don,t have 200 bucks to buy a code reader. this just started yesterday

 

Code readers can be purchased for less than $20 these days. Check Amazon, ebay, local parts sores and/or walmart, With modern vehicles, getting it scanned for codes is the first step in troubleshooting.

 

code readers are more expensive in Canada and if I get one at Amazon they,ll probably charge $100 or so for shipping., problem is with my solenoid which is on the starter. I replaced it this morning and everything works fine.
