Wiper housing removal
I am replacing the rear exhaust manifold and it is a bit tight, I have the wiper arms, motor and cowl removed. Is there any way to remove the steel housing? Looks like it is welded.

The steel housing is weld in place and is not removable.
You didn't mention which engine you have, but if it is the 3.3L or 3.8L engine, I recommend removing EGR tube and the upper intake manifold. That will give you more room to work.
I am not familiar with the 4.0L and diesel engines, but the same advice might apply to them as well.
