Disable theft system so I can just unlock door normally?
apologies if this has been previously covered- my search attempts have been unsuccessful.
i have a 2000 grand caravan that requires me to do this elaborate unlocking dance every time I get into the car. I have to hold the key in the unlock position for a couple seconds, and only when it unlocks all the doors can I get in without tripping the alarm. Sometimes it doesn’t work and I only unlock the driver door and I have to try repeatedly. Sometimes it briefly unlocks all of them and locks them all again. Sometimes it’s dark and I *think* I unlocked all of them but I didn’t and I get in and the alarm goes off.
What i I want is to just put the key in the driver door, unlock the driver door only, and never bother with the theft deterrent system again. Any suggestions?
