Have read numerous blogs and talked with several people, including auto parts and dealerships (none have separate solenoid listed), with conflicting locations: inside oil pan; part of solenoid pack; torque converter. Have replaced TCM and solenoid pack. Only noticeable issues besides “Service Engine Soon” light are: loss of gas mileage from 19.8 mpg to 17.9 mpg; backfire on rapid acceleration; occasional hard downshift coming to a stop. Suggestions?
