I damaged the power steering cooler on my 2007 caravan 3.3 and the replacement will not come in before the van needs to be moved. Is there a fuse that can disconnect the pump so i can drive it without burning out the pump?

I looked at a fuse map but couldn't see a way. If not, is my option to just insert a tube in a loop so the fluid recirculates? Towing is not an option as the vehicle is located in a remote bush camp.

how far do you have to move this?

 

About an hour and half drive on the highway unfortunately. I was under the impression it would be ok as long as it isn't too hot out?

 

temp wise you'll be fine...containing the pressure will be the issue. what kind of fittings?...formed tubes that are retained with clips?
