Default Sputtering approaching stops

Hey all, I drive a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan with 111k miles. Over the last month or so when approaching a stop sign or light, right before I come to a complete stop, the car will sputter as it's downshifting and sometimes even stalls. Mechanic can't find any codes but said to try fuel injector cleaner. That seemed to work for the first few days but now is still doing it. I'm deathly afraid that there's something wrong with the tranny. Any ideas?

Checked the fluid level? Ever had a transmission service performed? If you are afraid its the transmission, take it to a trans shop and have it serviced.

Yes, mechanic I mentioned changed the fluid. He doesn't really do anything else beyond that with transmissions though. What else would a tranny service include?

Did he change the filter? Take it to someone who knows transmissions.
