2008 3.8L Caravan. I've replaced the egr 3 times in the last 2 years. Usually P0406 code. The first one lasted about a year, the next 1 about 2 months, and now the latest about 2 weeks. These our Dorman EGR's I've been using. I've mentioned it to the dealer and another mechanic and they said the Non-Mopar EGR's have issues. Should I spend the extra and get a Mopar or could this be a wiring issue? Any help and advice is appreciated. Thanks!!

 

Three Dormans and you're wondering why? You could try the Standard Motor brand. I've had mixed luck with their sensors. If you don't want to deal with this again, buy Mopar.

 

Ok, well my bigger concern is could it be a wiring issue? I don't have a problem getting a Mopar EGR but don't want to end up with the same issue.
