2006 Grand Caravan 3.8 SXT. Is there a way to remove the rest of the dipstick without replacing the dipstick tube? Was thinking of drilling a small hole in the side of the tube at the level of the yellow plastic part to keep it from moving further down, and then driving a small screw into the plastic yellow section from the top and pulling it out and then wrap drilled portion of tube with HVAC metal tape.

 

I use a wine bottle cork remover...spiral it into the plastic and pull it out.
some people shoot compressed air into the pcv hose and pressurzed air pushes out he broken part....I'm not a fan of this method...it can make the rear main seal fail.
