P0302 2015 Grand Caravan troubleshooting
Intermittent P0302 code (cylinder 2 misfire) happening for last 2 months on the 3.6L pentastar engine. Never another code. Runs OK, occasionally rough at idle. Once heard a ticking from engine at idle, but not consistent. At 61,000 miles with no previous problem. Tends to code with warm engine.
Replaced spark plugs; same code within a week.
Switched ignition coils; same code that day.
Ran a bottle of seafoam in fuel; same code.
Thinking it might be the head or something else more serious. Thoughts?
Also, I am the second owner. Does the powertrain warranty transfer automatically from the original owner? Would this be covered?

The manufacturer powertarin warranty on Dodge Chrysler is 5 years 60,000 miles. The ticking sound is usually bad rocker arm which can wear the cam lobes if neglected your misfire could also be sign of a bad head # 2 cylinder is on the left bank which is the head that they had problems with in the early versions of the 3.6 L Pentastar engine. 2011-2013 3.6 L engines has an extended 10 years 150,000 miles powertrain warranty on the left head only issued by Dodge Chrysler.
