After hitting a deer my check engine light came on for ambient temp sensor. Looks easy to replace sensor, but wires that go to it are snapped. How do I fix that?

if the connector is damaged or the broken wire are to close to connector to perform a wiring repair....get a replacement connector from the dealer. the kits come with a connector, 18 inches of insulated wire with the proper terminal crimped onto them. It will also include barrel terminals and shrink wrap.

 

 

Thanks for the reply! I ordered both the male and female end at autozone because they didn't have them in stock. Hopefully the female end will have some sort of instructions for which wires go to which, because it appears as if the colors of the wires may be different

 

The replacement connect kit part number is 5014002AA, you should be able to find it online if you don't have a dealer nearby.

 

if you can't see the wire colours out of the connector....buy your connector at the dealer and ask them to provide a connector view diagram...which will show where the specific colour wire goes in the connector.
