[5th Gen : 08+]: Van won't crank after touching brake while cranking
Hi everyone, I have a 2018 with 10,000 miles. Last night I parked my van for a bit to eat before my kids T-ball practice. I turned the key to start it and within a second I also touched the brake pedal; the moment my foot pushed the brake pedal it stopped cranking. After that it would not crank no matter what I did.
I tried locking and unlocking the door with the key out.
I took off both battery cables for 1 minute.
I tried jumping it with my wife's Jeep which has a large battery and high amperage alternator since it has some power inverter package and I used my 6gauge jumper cables. All that to say it was adequate to start the van.
Not willing to void my warranty I let the dealer tow it in to figure it out.
Has anyone ever seen this issue on any vehicle? If so what did it end up being?
