No A/C output?
Owner 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8. System has one can of freon,No cold air blowing. We have found no leaking but did not do a dye test. The last two summers it has continually gotten worse about cooling. If extremely hot and humid just forget about it. Continually turning it colder and colder on temp control in order to get any cooling at all. This season noticed it was not working when the defrost was on not working at all, which we know uses air conditioning. The pressure on the high side is 100 -250 and the pressure on the low side is 0 -17. Still no cold air. The belt is running on the compressor. What should we look at next? The expansion valve? We also have a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8 with the same issue. Any suggestions would be helpful?
Thanks!

How much is “one can” of refrigerant? How long does the clutch on the compressor stay on? A few seconds? 30 seconds? A minute or longer?
It sounds like it’s under-charged due to a leak. You can try adding tracer dye but without the UV light and goggles it won’t be of much use - the dye doesn’t show up well without them.
Try searching for the leak using soap and water, same as you would a leak in a tire. You may have to remove the air filter housing to have better access to lines and connections.
If that doesn’t turn up anything, you might want to consider having a shop do the diagnosis. You can specify no repairs are to be made.
