Default Blend Door Actuator

2013 Dodge Grand Caravan drivers side I hear a clicking noise from under the dash. I have searched and searched and saw it is the Blend Door Actuator, because the AC blows only hot air, and every time I crank the Van and turn the hot and cold **** it will click, even when I just open the door or the back hatch it will click for aopprox 5 to 10 seconds and then stop.

My question is if the drivers side Blend Door Actuator is bad will it cause hot air to blow out of all the vents in the van. ? or will I have to change all of the blend door actuator's.

Thank you for your time in this matter with my van.

depending on the system design (single or dual temp); there could be 3 or 4 door actuators
1 for recirculation...outside air or incabin air
1 for mode...floor, vent defrost
1 or 2 for temp blending

replace the one bad actuator...inspect the plastic splines and linkage and make sure the door itself isn't broken.

Thank you for the information, I hope that itis the driver side Blend Door Actuator. Maybe if 1 is bad it will cause hot air to blow out of all the vents. When I turn the ***** for the passenger side or the rear control there is no clicking. The clicking happens when I tur the driver side ac control.

Thank you again for your reply. I will attach a photo of my AC Control in my Van.

Thank You

It's your driver side blend door actuator the problem with these actuator is that they have plastic gears in them and over time they break that's why they click. If your van has manual climate control the Mopar blend door actuator is part 68299450AA.

You don't need to change all the actuators just the bad one.
