Default 2005 Dodge Caravan AC low side port?

Hi, I'm trying to locate my low side A/C port on my 2005 Dodge Caravan (not Grand) so I can get some 134A freon. I have a hunch O found it but not absolutely sure? I attached a couple of pics with what I think is the port circled in red. If that's the right port, how do I get the cap off? I tried turning and pulling, but didn't apply much pressure just in case, bit wouldn't budge. This is on the left side under the hood, toward the front, and maybe several inches down. Thanks much, appreciated.

Autozone has a loan-a-tool set of A/C gauges. If you get the gauges they should attach only to the appropriate sides (one hose to high pressure, the other to low pressure, and the third hose to a 134a tank). When you are at autozone you can see how to adapt the gauge set to the cheap little cans with 134a and pag oil, and stop leak but I don't like to use stop leak.

If the cap is threaded it is lefty loosey, righty tighty like any other normal thread. But I haven't taken one off in a couple years so I can't recall.

Look up a temperature chart for what the high and low side readings should be when the vehicle is running, and also look up troubleshooting tips for those readings. (Here: http://rechargeac.com/how-to/ac-system-pressure-chart)

Table from the linked page below

Low Pressure / High Pressure side readings and meanings:
IN RANGE / IN RANGE A/C is working properly.
LOW / LOW -- Add Refrigerant.
LOW / HIGH -- Need service, possible blockage of the expansion valve or orifice tube.
HIGH / LOW --- Needs service, possibly faulty compressor.
HIGH / HIGH -- System is overcharged. Slowly remove refrigerant. Note: Venting is illegal in USA.

Correct, lefty loosey and the gauge will only attach to the low side. Sometimes, they are hard to get off with your bare hands. Wrap a rag around it then lightly loosen it with a wrench. Hand remove the rest of the way.

Thanks much IDon'tGiveARam and KDodge75. Mainly wanted to know if what I had circled was the low side cap, and seems you both didn't say it wasn't. I just plan on using Auto Zone's kit with the gauge and hose attached 134A, just says low side needed. With gloves I got a grip on the cap, yep lefty Lucy, thanks.

Well it's true that you don't need to hook up to the high side just to put in the charge you really want to check it out since you already have the tool in hand. Everyday I work with 250 psi and while that is somewhat scary it's really not that scary. Just be sure you were wearing safety glasses. Anything about 4 PSI can rupture your eyeball as I learn from one of our safety Flyers at work:-)

Thanks for all your help. Went to Auto Zone this morning, and seems all they did was read instructions from the can, which I can do. But I must have done it right, much colder air blowing. Only used a couple "puffs", have rest of can with gauge for later if needed.
