2006 Dodge Caravan. Ok so I had the seat belt chime turned off by a guy with the dealership computer tool. I see some corrosion around one of my battery terminals. If I disconnect it to clean it will I lose that new programming? if so or just to be safe how can i keep enough power to not lose it. Can I hook a charger up to the battery leads? what about one of those cigarette lighter thingys that you can connect to another cars cigarette lighter ? thanks in advance.

You won't lose programming.
