Hey, just want to know if anyone knows how to reset the factory alarm on a 2005 dodge caravan sxt .. the alarm isn’t going off..tried the battery thing where you disconnect and put the wires together ..tried the key in the door stuff but nothing is working. I heard it could be the ignition lock!? I’m not sure but some advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated.. thanks!

(we’ve checked the starter, and the battery they are both fine.)

 

You’ll have to have the security codes checked to know for sure. The possible reasons include shorted wiring, the key(s), ignition switch, and module communication just to name a few.

You’ll have to have it towed to a dealership/shop or find a local mechanic willing to come to your house to pull the codes.
