2002 Dodge caravan cranks not start. first happened when brake pads were bad (just worn out. Now when I am replacing with new brake pads it again cranks but will not start. 3.3; 6 cylinders.

 

A crank but no start can be a lot of different things. Start with the most obvious first. Is there gas in the tank? Is your air filter clogged? Can you hear the engine turning over, or is it just clicking? Clicking can be a dead battery. Can you check if there are any codes? Then you'd probably go to spark plugs, coils, fuel injectors and fuel pump, if those other things don't help you!

Thanks for th reply. Not doing any of that. Won’t crank. Fresh battery. Scan tool not communicating with computer. Thinking broken/fried wires.
