[3rd Gen : 96-00]: Trouble Installing Serpentine Belt on 3.3L, 2000
3.3L Chrysler Grand Voyager 2000 VIN: 1C4GJ44GXYB740259 (which makes the engine {8th character G} SMPI FFV (EGM) 3.3L) with AC
I don't have a lot of experience installing serpentine belts, but I've done it a couple of times. Apparently, I don't have enough experience.
The old belt (and idle pully) is destroyed, so I can't measure it.
I bought a Valucraft 967K6 ,and I have a long 15mm wrench to use on the tensioner.
I tried leaving the idler for last, and I tried leaving the tensioner for last. Neither method was successful.
The new belt seems to be too short. I now see instructions https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/...erpentine+belt (which, btw, have the direction of the tensioner wrong) that says to leave the crankshaft for last. I suppose I'll try that.
Does anybody have suggestions? Advice? Please.

I'm OP, and I notice I didn't get any replies. I'll reply to myself considering the problem is solved. The belt is now installed.
You have to work from the bottom of the car while having someone else pull on the very-long wrench mated with the tensioner. You will need a couple of flat-head screwdrivers.
You will hear of people making a wrench with a pull cord attached. They lie down below while pulling on the cord. My hat is off to anyone who managed this feat of coordination. I would not have succeeded without the help of my wife. And, believe me, it is difficult to get her involved in a dirty job like this. If I needed her assistance, it means it is needed certainly.
