New member here.

I am trying to get a little information if other members have tried this project. I am wanting to add rear monitor screen in the van.

Talked with 3 dealers and none say same thing. 1 dealer quoted 2600$ to add the rear screen for 2nd row said I needed the wire harness replaced.
Another dealer told me 800$ for the screen plus updating sales code in computer but service department would not get involved in adding the screen.
Third dealer say's all I need is the screen to be installed and plugged up.

I just want to try and figure out what I need to get a screen added into the roof console and noone has been able to answer me at any dealership.

The van is already equipped with DVD/NAV radio and it also has the backup camera. It has the long console on the roof with several storage compartments instead of monitor screen.

Hello, did you have any luck? I recently purchased a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. And I'm interested in eventually installing the 2nd Row screen, if it is possible.

 

No after several conversations with Dodge dealer. Dealers were telling me I would need the complete wiring harness from dash to screens and then the computer in van would need to be programmed to activate the screens. I wish it were as easy as it was in the older vans.

 

I spoke to dealer it can be done they gave me the part numbers I need and the installation guide I would just need to call to have it activated

 

Can you send me the Parts numbers and guide?

Just have to look on crysler part website for the other parts (usb rca second DVD player)

the one part the crysler rep couldn’t help me find was the
DVD Power Harness

Maybe you’ll have better luck find it

Please let me know if you do as that’s the only piece I’m missing
unless it’s plug n play

I was able to find this Part number, 4868876AE, for the Harness, it's listed as w/DVD System. I wonder if that is the correct one.

I was trying to go off the diagram and see if it matches the Instructions, but it's difficult to tell.
