Default 2013 all Fobiks stop working (buttons)

So I've had nothing but bad luck with all my fobiks. My 2013 Grand Caravan only came with one fobik when I bought it a few years ago. It's a 7 button (remote start) model.

My OEM started acting up so I bought a replacement case and swapped my OEM electronics in and it worked perfectly for a while.

For the point of this point, "acting up/stopped working" means the buttons stopped responding. In *ALL* cases, the fobs will start the vehicle perfectly in the ignition. It's ONLY the remote lock/unlock and other button functions that don't work.
After a few really bad situations (one time in public I accidentally set off the panic button and the fobik refused to work and wouldn't turn it off for almost 15 minutes), I decided to buy another replacement set off Amazon. These came with programmable internals, but I wanted to try my case swap again. It didn't work at all this time. So, I paid to have a locksmith program the new fobik. It worked perfectly for the first month or so, but in the last few weeks it's becoming increasingly unresponsive, in some cases I have to press the lock or unlock button a few dozen times before it will work.

Today I couldn't get the doors to unlock at all, so I swapped the battery, and everything worked for the first half of the day, but completely stopped working again. As of right now, the van is locked but I cannot unlock it.

As you know, unlocking w the key will set off the alarm which can only be turned off w the fobik.

I have another new replacement I can pay to have programmed, but it's a total waste of money if it's only going to stop working in a matter of weeks.

Considering this issue is across all brands/replacements/OEM/aftermarket fobiks--that they all just eventually stop working for no reason--what are the options?

Obviously batteries are not the problem, and my new fobik (less than 2 months use) was kept in a silicon sleeve. It has different internals than the OEM insomuch as the metal contact is taped down to the top of circuit board instead of being attached to the rubber buttons.

Update:

Last night I took my fob apart and tried various new batteries but had no luck. I futzed w the contact points and it seemed to work ok. This morning it worked fine until mid-day when I needed in my van, and I could only get the door slider button to open and got into the van that way. I couldn't get it to lock again.

Since then, it's just 100% dead. Will not work.

If anyone has advice I'd love to hear it. I don't see any point in paying any more money for a new fob or another programming fee if it's just going to stop working for no reason in a few weeks.
