Default Brake lights stay constantly on :(

Hello,

We are a french family on a Canadian road trip and we have a 2016 dodge caravan and a Rockwood ESP 1640 tent trailer.

Following the installation of the electrical wiring and the Hitch, we realized that the trailer tent was no longer breaking a few days ago after a month travelling.

We went to see the garage vendor who installed the wiring and they diagnosed us with a wiring problem. Unfortunately we did not bring the trailer tent to confirm that everything was sorted out as we were in a campground.

When we left the campsite, we saw that the trailer tent was still not breaking. This time, we took the car and the trailer to an RV specialist. He succeeded in putting in the correct cabling and the brakes on the trailer tent was working again. However, he informed us that the rear brake lights were still on all the time and that he was not competent to fix this situation.

We went to a Dodge - Chrysler dealership. They changed the fuse compartment and that still doesn't solve the problem.

So we've been stuck in a small town for 3 days. The garage is closed this weekend and the technician is tearing his hair out.

Would you have had an identical situation where the brake lights stay constantly on? and if so, how did you solve it.

Thanks for your feedback.
