Default 2004 Grand Caravan SXT

Im trying to take my passenger front tire off but I think the last person to put it on over tightened the lug nuts because i cant get them to move. I have tried PB blaster and an impact but i think the impact may not be working properly. Any ideas on how to get them loose without breaking the stud? Thanks in advance.

Need leverage. A long breaker bar. Kinda like this.

First of all, give the PB some time to work. I would put it on liberally and wait until the next day. Then I would put on some more than wait another 30 minutes or so and then try it.

As jkeaton says, use a longer bar. I have a 5 foot length of PVC the fits over my lug nut wrench. I have never had a nut that wouldn't come off with that. That being said, don't force it. Just apply some steady force on your extension pipe and let the torque do its thing. Pulse it a bit, meaning apply some pressure and then back off, apply again, etc. If you do end up snapping off a stud, they are very easy to replace.

I make sure that I tell all mechanics to hand torque the lug nuts after a repair. I re-torque them after a few days. If they won't do that, go somewhere else.
