[5th Gen : 08+]: 2010 3.3L Grand Caravan P0455 code
Hello,
Today the check engine light on my mothers 2010 Grand Caravan came on. I checked the codes and there were 3 instances of P0455 for EVAP System Large Leak. The gas cap seems fine. I looked at everything I recognize as a vacuum hose and what might be part of the ERG system and everything looks fine. The vehicle only has 36,000 miles on it and much of the engine still looks new. I misted some starter fluid around all of the hoses and I didn't find any spots that made the engine rev.
As far as I can tell, the engine is running as fine as ever. It is not running rough. It's a 3.3L, so it has some trouble getting out of its own way, but it always has. The oil was a little low for some reason, so I added a quart.
Any suggestions on where to look?

I decided to replace the gas cap since that was an easy enough try.
I used this one,
Duralast Fuel Cap 4837BT ($15)
since I didn't feel like paying $30 for the Mopar part. This was also in stock up the street.
I cleared the codes and so far, the P0455 hasn't come back. I have only driven a few miles, but am I wrong in thinking that a leak is a leak and the warning would come back right away if there was a split hose somewhere?
Maybe that's just wishful thinking.
