Default engine stops crancking

i have a 1998 Grand Caravan w/ a 3.3 engine, the Van had been running good until one day it started having this problem where i would try to start the van, and the engine would crank for about two seconds, and right when it's supposed to start, all the power goes out, and the engine stops cranking, it's like the power re-sets, the power is cut off right when the engine goes to start and the system re-sets, the power goes out and comes back and the chime comes back on, almost as if someone turned the Key to the off position and then right back to the on position again.

I'm not sure if this is how the Auto shut-down relay is suppose to work.

I notice when i remove the Motor Fuse from the fuse-box under the hood the engine will crank w/ out stopping after two seconds, apparently there must be a sensor to the engine that is not working, however the check engine light does not come on so i don't know if a coe scanner will work to trouble shoot this problem.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated

Thank you.
