Default Key stuck in ignition and engine won’t start

Key fob is very hard to insert or remove from ignition. Can be done but it’s like the fob is too big around to fit. When inserted, the key can be turned to start position but engine doesn’t turn over or start. Anyone know why or how to fix?

Most likely you need to replace the WIN module - that’s what the fob is inserted into. It requires programming after installation which can be done by a shop or anyone with a scan tool (or PC software) capable of programming, but you need a 4 digit PIN code for your van that’s only available from Dodge - you should be able to get it with the VIN if you call your local dealer’s parts or service departments.

Default Fob won’t lock/unlock either

Also, when I use the fob to lock/unlock the vehicle, nothing happens. Batteries in fob are fine. There is zero power to the van. ???

If you are saying there is no power to anything like the battery is dead or all fuses blown then you have to start at the battery with a tester and work out from there to determine where the power is being cut. If you have no power then of course the van will not start. The key feeling like it is hard to push in or pull out is secondary to that issue.

Have you tested the battery? If dead try a jump start.
