2019 Caravan GT - Can I disable the auto dimming rearview mirror? If yes how please. With the tinted Windows and auto dimming I can't see a thing at night! Wish I had the old fashion flip button! Thank you. JRR

 

That's very easy just push the power button on botton in the center of the mirror the green light should go off on mirror when powered off.

 

This mirror does not have a power button! That's the issue. I have the power button on my Hyundai. The 2019 GT Caravan does not have a power button.

 

That's strange I own different vehicles with the auto dimming mirror feature all of them had a power button on the mirror Chev, Ford and Dodge. It shows that the 2019 mopar auto dimming mirror should have 2 buttons on it.

 

Does your power mirror have a sensor you could cover up? You can always unplug the power from the mirror. The top half of the plastic cover going up the windshield comes off, then the lower plastic. I had mine fall off because I have to move it out of the way. I can't see half the road because the damn windshield is so low in this van compared to the seat height. I'm actually going to move it to the passenger side 3-4 inches soon.

 

Apparently there's some auto dimming mirror that don't have a power button i've read on those model simpply touching the mirror surface can turn the mirror off one touch turn auto dimming on a second tough will turn it off could try this hope it solve your issue.

 

After much investigation, 3 dealer trips and 3 calls to Dodge tech support: on a 2019 Grand Caravan GT there is no shut off feature on the power dimming mirror. It has to be unplugged. However once I unplug the mirror by removing the covers and unplugging the wire receptacle, it also disables the microphone on the Uconnect. Therefore you can no longer use your cell phone through the speakers.

There are 6 wires going into this mirror. Is there any way to get a wiring diagram, or does someone know which wire I can splice a switch in, to be able to turn this on and off? Dodge Corporate was no help, neither were the dealers. I am trying to get this escalated by a dealer to what they call a Star Case Ticket. Thanks for the help and advice.
