2001 Dodge Grand Caravan.

I am homeless and I live in my van. Last night the temps were about 43, a bit unusually cold for this area right now. But on my 20 minute drive into town it seems my engine temperature was not getting as high as it usually does and the heat did not seem half as hot. Usually the car heat is unbearably hot, but today it was just just kinda hot. When I ended up in town my engine temp was still lower than usual and then my heat seemed to drop off completely.

Do you think this combination of events is linked to the temperature sensor?

 

It seems to be fine again. So no idea.

 

it could be a number of things such as low coolant a bad thermostat or blend doors not operating properly.
