Sliding door locked & won't open
Hello everyone.
We have a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT that has been giving us issues with the drivers side sliding door. Over a year ago now it shut one day & has been in the locked position since. The lock it's self has a "mushy" feeling to it. Nothing will make it unlocked! I was wondering if anyone else has ran into this or know what would cause this? The few things I've read or searched it seems like people pay around $1k to get it fixed?
Thanks Lance

Happened to me too - the lock "actuator" ( i thing it's called) failed in the door in locked position and the manual unlock lever at the door handle is unable to move the lock because the "wire" inside the door is flexing and lock is stuck .......no other way to open the door than to cut the plastic door panel on the inside disassemble the electric lock actuator to open door.....then - change the actuator (15$ Amazon) and buy a new inside plastic panel - new or from a junkyard (100 bucks)
