Anyone a heads up as to why my '17 SXT intermittently idles rough and knocks when startng in the morning? Can feel the engine sightly rocking the car. Seems to run fine after warmed.

160K, Have always kept up with maintenance -oil, transmission, spark plugs etc

 

Found out on my own that the cruise control for these vehicles ruin the engine because it forces the overdrive to exert the engine faster then the car can move.

It was discovered by Aamco that the engine was losing compression due to a cracked cylinder core and the engine needed to be replaced.

I have noticed at times when traveling with the cruise control engaged that the engine will accelerate well above 4000rpm's to over compensate for inclines in the highway.

I am very careful now about when I use CC and if I'm going uphill I kick the brake to immediately disengage it and let the engine go at is own pace.
