[5th Gen : 08+]: Need advice to keep rear auxillary heat hose from bursting
Hi everyone. I had just posted about the engine replacement I had done, under warranty, on my 2008 DGC, and came home today to realize I'm leaking coolant. I traced it back to the plastic y-pipe, which has been replaced three times over the years (every 50,000 miles, as if on cue), and found tell-tale signs it's the culprit. The mechanic who did the work at the dealership can't look at it until Friday, does anyone have advice on how I might still drive it without causing it to burst ? If I keep the coolant in the reservoir at the minimum fill line, instead of filling it up, do you think that would help reduce pressure? Any other advice? Yeah I've had it towed in the past when the y-pipe burst completely, so I know I'm rolling the dice. Just thought I would ask.
