Default Climate Control Randomly Changes

2009 SXT.. My van was out of commission and sat for about 1.5 years. It needed a new head gasket, and due to working at home through the pandemic I didn't really need it, so recently got it fixed. However, since getting it back on the road, the climate control seems to have a mind of it's own. It will do one of two things:
1) Disregard any output location selected or heat setting and only blow hot air from the window defoggers. If you push any buttons to change to vents or floor they will light up, but then turn back off.
2) Sometimes it will start doing what the controls say, and blow cool air out from the location selected/indicated, and the option buttons will have the light on.
It will switch back and forth randomly, at least I have not yet figured out a pattern. Is this something that recalibration will fix? If so, can anyone share that procedure? I have not found a good step by step description of this for the 2009 G5 Caravan.
What else can I check...Fuses? Relays? Parts that are failing and can be replaced? I was hoping this issue would disappear after the cobwebs from being parked for so long worked their way out...but it's been a few weeks.
Any suggestions or links to other posts are greatly appreciated!!!

I found a post on another site, but now can't find it again to post a link here, but it said that there is no way to reset the 08 through 10 van climate controls...need to have the dealer do it. Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone had a similar problem, and what did you do to resolve the problem? Not so bad now, but really want reliable A/C for road trips this summer. I prefer to fix it myself before needing to take it to the dealer.
