Guys, I would like your help to solve the problem with my Gran Caravan. I live in Brazil, and this car has few repair shops. There is a friend who owns a repair shop, but he is not a specialist in this kind of car. I bought a Gran Caravan Lx 3.8 2000, the gearbox was changed by the previous owner, a 3.3 engine model gearbox was installed. The problem was the following, the gearbox was making a scratching metal noise, we noticed that the flywheel ring gear was loose and dragging on the gear box, we realized that the cushion of the gear bis was broken, it was still missing the engine guides for the gear box and some screws. It is worth mentioning that we took the gear box off to investigate the noise, then bought the cushion, screws and the guides and assembled everything. The problem appears now, after we installed everything and tested it by turning the flywheel ring gear with a screwdriver but it seems that the motor is locked, if you separate the motor and gear box it seems that everything is right. Does anyone have any tips?
