[5th Gen : 08+]: Dodge Caravan Bubbling/ Gurgling noise when cold start engine when cold outside.
I have a 2017 dodge grand caravan. When starting the engine when it's less than 40f (3 celsius) it makes a weird bubbling or grinding type noise. It doesn't happen right away but happens when I put it into gear and reverse out of the driveway. It only does this when it is cold outside and when the car is cold. When it warms up this goes away. Any ideas?
Here is a video of the noise.
not sure what to call this noise But it only does this when the engine is cold and it's cold outside. If it's cold outside but the engine is warm it won't do this.
Checked the transmission fluid level and it was low but just barely. Added 1/4L to get it back to the low full line and another 1/4 L would get it to mid full line.

$2500 Transmission Pump Repair later and now its even worse but different. Same thing only on cold starts but the noise is now happening right when I start up the Van vs before the repair it only happened once I put it into gear and started to drive. It also is now making a constant clicking noise on cold start that lasted for a good 20 seconds.
Hi ! I have a dodge caravan 2018 that do exactly the same thing like you. I saw you trying to fix the problem last years. I want to know if your issue get worst after a couple of month of the pump replacement or if you do another thing to fix that.
Sorry no luck they have put in 2 transmission pumps and no results. Still working on it been 2 years....
If it gets really cold the noise will change to a whine at like -10c
one idea is maybe power steering pump or clogged filter? That is my guess form some research but I really have no idea.
