Hi everyone new to the site hoping for advice. I’ve got an 09 caravan 3.3l about 335km. Noticed first a squeak then a grind on drivers side front end. Got it in the air and couldn’t see anything so put it in drive with the tires off. Passenger side was spinning no problem, drivers had the grinding in the axle on the drivers end going into the trans. I could hold the hub and turn it by hand no problem. Question is is it just the axle/cv shaft I’m looking at or is this a problem on the transmission side. Didn’t take it off cause it’s late and I still have to drive it tomorrow so I didn’t get a chance to check the spline. I also don’t want to spend a bunch of time on replacing the axle if the trans is my problem.
