62te with codes, intermittent no reverse, weird bump on bottom of trans case
Have a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan Mainstreet with about 145k on it. Was giving me intermittent no reverse and several codes (P0740, P0734, P0792, P0736, p083B, P0868, P0733) off and on, leaking fluid which got worse over time, and overall rough shifting. I admittedly drove with issues longer than I should have, but have it parked. I've pulled the pan and cover for valve body, tested the solenoid pack components using a multimeter and no issues, cleaned the solenoid pack screen which has some minor debris in it, pulled and cleaned all the valve body components and reassembled. I also found the cable from the TIPM/fuse box to the alternator seemed to have overheated at some point, melting the top of the fuse box so I have a new line to put in. All of that is based on research and self-educated guesses, but my biggest question was last night I noticed a weird bump on the body of the transmission case. I haven't found anything except too much dirt/grease/debris overall. Tested input and output speed sensors and transfer sensors with multimeter and all tested fine also. I'm wondering if it's possible to have this many/severity of issues with nothing wrong but lack of communication between components, or if this bump might be an indicator of something more serious and mechanically wrong in the transmission itself. Up until now I was convinced it was parts-solid and purely a matter of chasing down communication issues, but I can't find anything on this bump, nor any pics or anything saying it's normal, so thought I'd see what someone with actual knowledge might have to weigh in with? Attaching pics and can fill in anything I may have missed! Help!!!!
