Unhappy how to get trans codes
the tester from the factory costs thousands of dollars. i just want to test my trans and do some diagnostics. help?

You just want to get codes, a normal OBD 2 code scanner will work. What else do you want to do?

it is a 95 and no hookups for obd2 otherwise i would have used that.

In that case, do the key dance to get the codes if that's all you want. To start gathering trouble codes turn the ignition key on off in rapid succession five times ending the cycle with the key in the on position.

that's how you do it. everyone says to do the key dance but nobody explained it. thanks
